Overview of station screen door (also known as platform screen door or safety door) refers to the glass curtain wall around the railway platform and the train landing space on the platform.

Main functions of station PSD

When the train arrives, open the electric door on the glass curtain wall for passengers to get on and off. Metro screen door system is a device installed on the side of metro platform close to the track to distinguish the platform area from the track. All stations of Shenzhen Metro phase I project are equipped with PSD system. The main purpose of setting PSD system is to prevent personnel from falling from the track in the event of an accident, reduce the operation energy consumption of the station air conditioning and ventilation system, reduce the impact of train operation noise and piston wind on the station, provide passengers with a safe and comfortable waiting environment and improve the subway service level.

Type of station screen door system

The fully enclosed PSD is a toughened glass partition wall and a top-down movable door. Set along the edge and both ends of the station platform to completely isolate the platform waiting area from the train arrival and parking area. The main function of PSD system is to improve safety, save energy consumption and reduce noise.
