In recent years, bus burning and explosion cases have occurred frequently:

At 12:37 on February 27, 2014, a No. 237 bus in Guiyang burned on Jinyang South Road, Yunyan District, causing 6 deaths and 35 injuries.

At about 18:20 on June 7, 2013, a bus caught fire while driving in Xiamen, Fujian Province, killing 48 people and injuring more than 30.

At 8:02 a.m. on June 5, 2009, the No. 9 bus in Chengdu, Sichuan burned at the lower bridge of the Sichuan Shaanxi overpass, killing 27 people and injuring 74 others.

At about 15:10 on September 3, 2009, a No. 120 bus in Yuzhong District, Chongqing burned when it reached No. 140 Caiyuanba South District Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. According to the preliminary judgment of on-site investigation, the bus is spontaneous combustion. When the vehicle caught fire, there were more than 20 passengers on board. Among the 7 injured, 6 were slightly injured and 1 had 15% second degree burns. They have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

At 13:54 on May 17, 2008, there was a suspected explosion caused by a vehicle collision on the lane in Block C, Longhua village, Yongzhong street, the District, and the death toll has reached 16.

At about 7:00 on July 21, 2008, the No. 54 bus of Kunming bus company exploded near the side door of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College, killing one person and injuring 10 others.

At 9:15 a.m. on May 5, 2008, a bus No. 842 near RT Mart on Huangxing Road exploded in the morning, killing three people and injuring many others.

Among the factors leading to the death and injury of passengers in the above accidents, the failure of the bus door to open in time is one of the factors.

China has a large population and the density in the bus is too large. In case of an accident, passengers will be crowded at the door of the bus. Therefore, it is unreasonable to adopt the inner swing door at the front and rear doors of the bus. Considering the characteristics of getting on at the front door and getting off at the back door of the bus, a very good combination is that the front door adopts inner swing door and the middle door is equipped with sliding plug door.
